The charge of this project was to design a performing arts center for one of four sites. After much deliberation, we chose the Goat Farm Arts Community in Atlanta Georgia for its quirky character, existing creative culture, and challenging post-industrial urban fabric. The program would contain two theaters - one experimental and one proscenium - plus all supporting spaces. Dealing with an existing vibrant culture meant that we needed to identify the gaps, build on the successes, and strengthen its future with solutions that are equally as resourceful as the grassroots community that has kept this land from developers.
