Clayton Daspit, AIA, LEED AP
As one of Beck’s design leaders, Clayton works closely with clients and project teams, guiding the exploration of ideas and revealing elegant solutions to project challenges. He believes the best projects are realized where all participants – client, design team, and builder– feel fully invested in the final result. Generous with his time, Clayton has served on the board of AIA Atlanta and has participated as a juror for the AIA Atlanta High School Design Competition, a program geared toward engaging students in design. Clayton enjoys mentoring the architects he leads, encouraging them to challenge themselves and push for the best possible design solutions.
Clayton’s experience spans a wide variety of projecttypes – museums, convention centers, retail and mixed- use, office, K-12, NCAA athletics and higher education. The buildings and spaces he has designed respond to the unique circumstances of their context and engage the people who use them in their daily life. He received his Master of Architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
Bruce McEvoy, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Bruce McEvoy is an award-winning designer who passionately believes in the transformational power of design. Bruce believes our ideas and spaces should negotiate context, history, cultures, communities, and the natural environment while utilizing technology, our dreams and a healthy sense of humor.
Bruce consistently and successfully collaborates withsome of the firm’s most significant clients. He works at avariety of scales on different project types to combine high-end design with high-performance environments.He is a member of the firm’s Design Leadership Forumand is responsible for conducting design reviews and pushing the design boundaries for our firm. In addition, Bruce is a member of the Executive Advisory Council for the College of Design at Georgia Tech and serves as Board Chair for the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA),Atlanta’s only design-focused museum.
Jennifer Ingram, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Jennifer joined the Atlanta office of Perkins&Will in 2014 as part of the Science+Technology architectural team. Last year, she received a micro-grant through Perkins&Will’s Innovation Incubatorprogram to research potential design opportunities immediately following a natural disaster.
In April, the research was presented in collaboration with Dan Watch and Dustin Albright at the AIA South Atlantic Aspire Conference, focusing on the role of architects in disaster relief. Jennifer received a Bachelors in Architecture from Clemson University and a Masters from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Eric Balogh, AIA, NCARB
As a Project Architect at The Beck Group, Eric manages the day to day operations on projects and oversees documentation ensuring delivery excellence for all our clients and end users. He believes that innovation in design can solve any challenge in the built environment. That begins with understanding the goals of each stakeholder, the larger context, and impact of a project in order create a more robust design response with lasting impact. Eric has been practicing architecture for over 7 years and is passionate about the benefit ofBeck’s Integrated Design-Build delivery method to foster lasting relationships between the design team, construction team, community, and project stakeholders.
Eric’s portfolio of work encompasses mixed-use, retail, higher education, NCAA athletics, K-12, healthcare, and adaptive reuse of varying scales and complexities. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Georgia Institute of Technology and his Master of Architecture from Clemson University.
JD Gutermuth, AIA
JD joined Studio.BNA in 2016 and works as a project architect encompassing a wide range of typologies including commercial and mixed-use, adaptive re-use, habitat design, student accommodations, restaurant + bar, and private residential. He also works with the studio’s design/build shop, Very Dark Gray, to design and fabricate components including furniture and custom installations for a wide range of projects. JD received his undergraduate architecture degree from Clemson University and went on to earn his Masters of Architecture from the University of Oregon’s Urban Campus in Portland, Oregon.
Outside day-to-day practice, JD frequently serves as a guest juror at both of his almae matres and has served as mentor to university students as well as elementary students through the Architects in Schools program.
